Ring Video Doorbell Overview

This is the 10th generation of the Ring Video Doorbell Camera System, and it comes with a couple new perks. One new perk from the new camera is it comes with an All-New Quick Replies which is a list of pre-programed replies that you can set when someone rings the doorbell. This feature let’s you set an automatic response when you are busy, no contact deliveries, or trying to avoid people and don’t want to talk to anyone. The only con about this feature is you can’t make your own personal response you have to use the responses that are programmed into the doorbell.

The All-new Color Pre-Roll Video Previews is an awesome new security feature. Which when the Ring Video Doorbell 4 picks up an disturbance it doesn’t just start recording it also retrieves the moments before the advents so you get the full sequence before hand. That feature could be very helpful in some situations, and a lot of the other brands don’t have this feature.

Are You Ready To Buy the Ring Video Doorbell 4?

Here I’ll go over where you can buy the Ring Video Doorbell 4 which is the typical places like Home Depot, Lowes, Best Buy, Bed & Bath, and obviously Amazon

. The Ring Video Doorbell 4 went on sale in April 2021 for the price of $199.99. Ring Video Doorbell 4 in the middle of the price range. I personally think the Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 ($249.99) was a better doorbell from the video aspect.

My Final Opinion of the Ring Video Doorbell 4 is….

To wrap up this review if your front door where your going to put the Ring Video Doorbell 4 looks out on a partially obscured view, then it’s worth spending the extra $20 over the Ring Video Doorbell 3 for the much-improved All-new Color Pre-Roll Video Previews feature. Like I said the All-New Quick Replies is a great feature good starting point for new ones to come, but I would like it more if I could create my own quick reply. The one big CON I see with the Ring Video Doorbell 4 is they didn’t upgrade the video aspect which is 160 degrees horizontal and only 84 degrees vertical view, so if you have a tall person their head will get cut off, and if they drop off a package on the ground you will not see it. For that reason I got to go with 4 out of 5 stars.
